About Us

The Rookies Band was founded in 2019 to address the lack of affordable musical opportunities for younger musicians and late starters in the Hinterland region.  Although our local schools offer good musical programs, many find their interest and capabilities leave them wanting more.  These local kids thrive on the ability to play music with musicians of all ages.

The afternoon time slot has proven attractive to adult players, novice and experienced, who enjoy playing their instruments in the afternoon, before heading home for dinner and an evening with the family.
